Welllll, something has got to eat the crap off the ocean floor, so it may as well be a mud whelk! But I'm not eating mudwhelks ... they look a little slug-like for my taste! It's lovely that Astrid has found the ocean and loves what lives in there ... but I dare say that Sara & Eric had better start doing their homework ... daily! Or their little 'whelk' is going to start peeling out with questions!!! Good luck finding plenty of children's books about mud whelks?!* But there's always Nemo to distract her while you Google!! The weather here on the northeast coast is absolutely gruesome! It appears that, while until recently I'd found global warming rather appealing, it is turning winter topsy-turvy, and we've had rain rain and more rain, and then plenty of icing to go with it. Gads it is horrid. Our driveway is nothing shy of a glacier!!! Walking is waaaay more trecherous than driving ... getting off our deck is an act the circus would be proud of!!! I slipped this afternoon heading out to fetch Katy from work, and thought I was going DOWN! I'm sick of it already. If this rain turns to snow, we'll be up to our you-know-whatsiss in it!!! Hope it's far more pleasant there! Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! And "Herself" will be celebrating yet another birthday before we can say MUD WHELK!!! xoxoxo ~Sharon
