I thought that Astrid was getting a cold but it is allergies. She has allergies just as bad as Eric and I do. I feel really badly for her because I know how it feels to have a snotty nose, runny eyes and so tired that it's difficult to keep your head up. I can tell that she is feeling like poop and has some serious allergies. Poor girl! She is being really cute these days. Grandma 'A' called her adorable today. She is so good and such a cutie. She is a perfect little kid. She has her moments when she melts down and gets out of control, but for the most part she is absolutely the most joyful thing in my life. Astrid is talking more than even just yesterday. She is putting two words (from her limited vocabulary) together and actually putting emotion behind her words. "I need", "No", "Me, nite-nite", "bye bye dada", "bye G-mama". I get really giddy when I hear her talking because I know that she means what she says and she doesn't just repeat back words like a parrot. She understands everything that is coming out of her mouth. She only talks when she wants or needs something; she doesn't talk if she doesn't need to. She knows all the basic colors. We have a little game that we play together where I ask her to point to 'yellow' and she will point to red just to hear me say 'Noooo', that's not yellow. She will laugh and then point to the yellow. She does this same game with her colored blocks. She will match up the colors incorrectly just to hear me say 'Nooo'. She'll laugh and then match them up right. She is such a little tease. She is so wonderful on the piano. I heard her play the other day and it sounds so good. She pounds on keys that sound really well together and sings while she's playing. It is really amazing to hear her play and make up songs. I think that she has a natural talent for music. She loves to hear music and she can dance and jump, swing her head back and forth and swivel her hips. She is a natural. I can't wait to enroll her in dance class ... I think that she will love it!
