Thank you, SARA!!! Whew ... I am relieved now. Especially that you scrubbed her til she shone like the top of the Chrysler building! I don't think it's rare for a not-yet 2-yr-old to feel shy and reserved her first day in a strange place with no one she knows. She's very used to you and Eric and Aunt Jackie, so I'm sure she felt a little shy and frightened and probably even a bit sad. Do they let you bring her something for rest time that she is familiar with? Or are they sticklers about nothing from home for fear of head lice or something else icky being brought into the center. Don't worry too much, Honey ... it's going to be alright. I didn't realize you were at home for the month of December! It's a good time to try her in Day Care ... you get a couple of days to do what you need to do, and Astrid gets used to other folks. I'm sure she misses her Grandma, but she'll soon get used to her life changes. They're not evil things you are doing! HEck, one day she'll realize how fortunate she has been to have her own parents and grandparents be her early yrs care providers. It's going to be just fine!!! And she's not used to having so many other children around her, she's more used to adults. But she's going to love interacting with children in her own age group soon ... and they'd better watch out for that little spitfire! Cuz she can hold her own!!! Thanks for the updates! you're the bomb. ~Sharon xo
