Okay, now you've got me in a tizzy ... it's the 12th and no follow up to Astrid's first day in Day Care. HELP!!! UPDATE!!! Did anyone touch her with their scurvy paws and get snotters on that little angel!! My guess is she loved it, playing with other little folks and all the activity. Did she come home exhausted?? Stand by for the first cold / virus / strep throat, etc. It's a matter of fact that they do get the bug from other children ... and it's not very special, but it's got to happen there or at Kindergarten ... this way you'll toughen her up to the outside world's yucky germs .... and you're right, I think it is tougher on the parents than the little 'ns. I'm sure that 2 days a week is going to be just the ticket for her .. more would probably be more than she can handle at barely 2 ... and how about Grandma?!* Is she in withdrawal??? And yes, there are LOADS of parents out there who haven't a clue about parenting ... from cleanliness to manners to anything remotely academic! Ask me how I know?!* Twenty-five years in public education, and guess what ... I still get surprises, just when I think I've seen it all. There are some lame excuses for parents out there, and then there's the rest of us, who are SO grossed out by germs (I still open / close doors of public restrooms with my coat pocket!!!). ~Sharon xo
